The annual festival of friendship «Different Countries — One World. Meet Turkmenistan» was held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages. For the fifth time, students from sunny Turkmenistan have invited freshmen from the faculty to take a virtual tour of their homeland.
A surprise for everyone was the welcoming speech in the Turkmen language of Sergey Zubriy, the Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work.
Turkmen students sang a hymn, acquainted the guests to the sights of Turkmenistan and its capital Ashgabat, the most white-marble city in the world, told about the national breeds of dogs and horses. Belarusian students saw the folk dance «Kushdepdi», heard a poem in Turkmen by the classic of Turkmen literature Makhtumkuli Fraghi and its translation into Russian. Foreign students delighted those present with a song about their native Turkmenistan and an incendiary lezginka.
The festival of friendship ended with a cheerful photo session of Turkmen and Belarusian students and teachers.
