On August 20, the “Summer School of the Russian Language – 2022” completed its work.
This educational program during the summer holidays is traditionally offered to foreign students by the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining.
This year, for two weeks, the “Summer School” was attended by 35 foreign students of the training course “Russian as a Foreign Language”, who arrived to study from 10 African countries (Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Djibouti, Cameroon, Côte dʼIvoire, Mali, Nigeria, the Republic of Congo, Eritrea), as well as China.
The program of the “Summer School”, organized on the basis of the department for the implementation of programs for pre-university education and career guidance of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining, provides for the continuation of the study of the Russian language by foreign citizens, as well as a deeper acquaintance with the history and culture of Belarus and Mogilev region. Daily practical classes on the course “Russian as a Foreign Language” alternated with a rich excursion program. According to the established tradition of implementing this educational project, foreign students visited the main sights of our city, the Museum of Ethnography, the memorial complex “Buinichskoe Pole” and the zoo.
Summer schools are traditionally popular with our foreign students, as they successfully combine the acquisition of useful knowledge and speech skills with entertainment and recreation.
