On January 2, mini-football competitions were held in the sports hall of the main building of the university. Four teams of students living in the dormitories of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University met on the sports ground to determine the winner of the New Year tournament.
According to the results of match meetings, the team of hostel No. 3 became the winner, the second place was taken by the team of hostel No. 4, and the third place was taken by the team of hostel No. 1. The chief referee of the competition Ivanov V. G. noted the great interest of students in holding sports events during the New Year holidays: “It is gratifying that in their free time, students choose active leisure. Traditionally, football matches are the most popular among athletes and their fans.”
The winners and prize-winners of the competitions received gifts from the trade union committee of students’ trade-union committee and the public association Belarusian Republican Youth Union.
