On the Student Wave

“On the student wave” is the traditional spring holiday, which takes place with the participation of representatives of different nationalities studying at the university and living in hostel No. 2.

On an April evening, students from Uzbekistan, China and African countries, gathered together to demonstrate their creative abilities, genre features of their national culture show good physical fitness, strength and ingenuity.

The student holiday was opened with a well-known instrumental work by a student of the Faculty of History and Philology, Tozhiboeva Nigina, who came from Uzbekistan.

National creative performances alternated with music and sports competitions, as well as emotional performances by the hosts of the festive evening — Belarusian Maria Davydenko, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Law, and Daniil Yuldashev, a student of the Faculty of History and Philology, who came from Uzbekistan.

The representative of the People’s Republic of China, a student of the Faculty of Primary and Musical Education Fan Huayixiang surprised with his unusual vocal performance. A team of Uzbek girls studying at the same faculty pleased all spectators with a variety of oriental dances and special plasticity of movements and beautiful national costumes. The Belarusian girls Daria Koroleva, a student of the Faculty of Economics and Law, sang a song loved by all students to the guitar, and Ekaterina Rabusok turned out to be a delicate romantic nature in her soul and recited a poem by Alexandra Naydenova “Dating Bureau”. Mustafa from the Republic of Gambia showed mastery of the soccer ball, thus evoking the approving emotions of the audience.

At the end of the evening, the final song was played in Chinese by the Chao group, which includes Belarusian students and its leader Yuisi, a teacher of Chinese language courses at the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining. “Chao” means “bridge” in Chinese, a symbolic bridge, which connected and rallied interesting, bright, creative personalities of different nationalities.
