On April 27, 2023, students of the specialty “Primary education”, studying under a joint educational program with the Chirchik State Pedagogical University of the Tashkent region, visited the ethnographic museum of the university.
Students from Uzbekistan learned about the folk traditions of the Belarusians, saw the unique items of material and spiritual culture of the inhabitants of the eastern region of the country.
The teacher of additional education Lyudmila Nabokova conducted an educational excursion for students. With great interest, they listened to the story about the history of the creation of the ethnographic museum, that most of the exhibits were collected by teachers and students of the Faculty of Philology (now the Faculty of History and Philology) during summer folklore and dialectological expeditions to the districts of the Mogilev region.
Students saw a model of a peasant dwelling, which conveys in detail the peculiarities of the life and life of peasants, learned about the craft, agricultural implements, ancient utensils, spinning tools of Belarusians living mainly in the south of the Mogilev region. As it turned out, many items (spinning wheels, millstones, looms, etc.) are well known to Uzbek students.
Thanks to a rich and vibrant excursion, students managed to expand their knowledge about the rich folk culture of Belarusians, get a lot of positive emotions from the opportunity to touch the beautifully assembled collection of exhibits.
