On October 18, 2025 the Confucius Institute of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University held the HSK Chinese Language Proficiency Exam (level 1–5) for the first time.
The Confucius Institute received a license for the right to conduct international exams in May 2025, thereby becoming the only place in the Mogilev region where not only people from Mogilev, but also residents of the surrounding regions can take international tests.
Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi is a standardized Chinese language qualification exam for non-native Chinese speakers. The exam is conducted under the full supervision of the National Chinese Language Proficiency Examination Committee of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, which issues a certificate of proficiency in Chinese. In terms of its status HSK is similar to TOEFL and IELTS for English.
The HSK Qualification Exam Certificate is a government-issued document from the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, internationally recognized and meets all the requirements for language exams. The HSK certificate provides the following advantages: it allows you to participate in a scholarship competition for internships in China; it provides an opportunity to enroll in bachelor's, master's and postgraduate studies at Chinese universities (HSK level from 4 to 6 is required according to the new classification); It serves as the basis for providing recommendations when applying for a job, when undergoing advanced training, and is also taken into account in the personnel policy of institutions, enterprises, and organizations in need of specialists with high-quality knowledge of the Chinese language.
