On February 28, 2023 Yelets State University named after I. A. Bunin hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Social Development of Children in a Multicultural World”, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Doctor of Philosophy, full member of the Academy of Pedagogical and Social Sciences V. M. Rozin and the Year of the Teacher and Mentor.
For a number of years, the co-organizer of this conference has been the Department of Psychology and Correctional Work of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University.
The conference participants were addressed with a welcoming speech of Dvoryatkina Svetlana Nikolaevna, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Activities of the Yelets State University named after I. A. Bunin, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor; Makovskaya Natalya Vladimirovna, Vice-Rector for Research of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University , Doctor of Economics sciences, Professor; Komarova Irina Anatolyevna, Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Childhood Psychology of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor and Gladysheva Marina Sergeevna, Director of the Institute of Psychology and Pedagogics of the Yelets State University named after I. A. Bunin, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor.
Of great interest to the participants of the conference were the speeches at the plenary session of well-known Russian scientists Rozin Vadim Markovich, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor, Chief Researcher of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the problem “The concept of tutor education (an example of developing the foundations of a new pedagogy)” and Ushakova Oksana Semyonovna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Chief Researcher of the Institute for the Study of Childhood, Family and Education of the Russian Academy of Education, Academician of the IANP on the problem of children's speech development.
During the breakout sessions of the conference, 14 teachers of the Department of Psychology and Correctional Work made presentations on topical issues of applied psychology and special education. Of particular interest and scientific discussion were the speeches of the Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Demyanyonok T. V. “Development of communication abilities in children with autism spectrum disorders”, senior teacher Tomasheva E. P. “Correctional focus of the lessons ‘Man and the World’ in primary classes for children with severe speech disorders”, senior teacher Ilyinich N. V. “Using psychological diagnostic tools to assess the development of children with autism spectrum disorders”, senior teacher Varlamova E. N. “Methods of art therapy assistance in working with adolescents from single-parent families”.
Such results of international cooperation contribute to the expansion and strengthening of scientific contacts, the generalization of the results of scientific research and educational practice, the exchange of experience in research work between our educational institutions.
