Ahead of the new academic year traditional «Summer School of the Russian Language» has completed its work at the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University. The program lasted for two weeks and drew attention of foreign students who wanted to improve their knowledge of the Russian language.
The geography of the participants of the «Summer School — 2025» was diverse: students from 15 countries took part in the program, including 10 African states (Gambia, Guinea, Djibouti, Cameroon, Rwanda, Senegal, Somalia, the Union of the Comoros, Eritrea, Ethiopia), as well as representatives of Korea, Turkmenistan, Brazil, China and France. This emphasizes the growing interest of foreign citizens in studying the Russian language at the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University.
The educational program included not only Russian language classes, but also cultural events that allowed participants to understand the history and traditions of Belarus and the Mogilev region. As part of the excursion program, foreign students visited iconic places in our city, such as the Buinichi Field Memorial Complex, Mogilev Regional Museum of Local History named after E. Romanov, the zoo and other sight, which made their stay not only educational, but also exciting.
Summer schools are traditionally popular with foreign students due to their unique format, which combines the educational process, educational tourism and active recreation. Foreign students note that this model of education helps not only master the language, but also establish international contacts and exchange of experience.
Thus, the «Summer School of the Russian Language» at the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining in 2025 confirmed its reputation as a successful educational project that promotes cultural exchange and strengthens friendly ties between peoples.
