The publication is intended for full-time and part-time students of the Faculty of Physical Education. The second part of the lecture notes contains the following sections: “Metabolism” and “Biochemistry of Sports”. The issues of carbohydrate and lipid metabolism, bioenergy, protein metabolism, biochemistry of muscle activity are considered, biochemical changes in the body during muscle work, patterns of recovery and adaptation, biochemical principles of sports training are characterized. To consolidate the studied material and to organize student self-study test assignments and recommended references are included.
