On July 1–11, 1917, the Second All-Russian Congress of the Military and Naval Clergy was held in Mogilev. The monograph is a comprehensive study of this important event in the history of the institution of the military clergy in the Russian Empire. The features of the preparation and organization of the congress in Mogilev have been revealed. On the basis of a significant amount of archival documents, the decisions taken by the participants of the congress have been investigated. The position of the clergy in relation to political parties, the Constituent Assembly and the civil activity of the military clergy in general has been revealed. The main projects related to the reorganization of the protopresbyter administration, the revision of official rights and duties, the introduction of an elective principle have been studied. Financial and charitable activities aimed at supporting the military clergy and their families have been analyzed. The publication is intended for specialists in the field of national and general history, religious studies, the history of religion; social scientists, teachers and university students.
