The monograph considers the background and ways of linguistic expression of the intergroup conflict of values in Internet communication. The linguopragmatic foundations for studying the communicative category of hostility are determined; the essence of “hate speech” as a form of manifestation of social conflict and a component of intolerant discourse is revealed; the factors influencing the functioning of “hate speech” in the commentary as a genre of Internet discourse are designated.
