On August 12, 2022 Head of the International Relations Department Sergei Machekin and Deputy Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University Lilia Zaitseva took part in an introductory meeting on cooperation between Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University and the University of Kelaniya (Sri Lanka).
The meeting was held with the support of the Embassy of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka in the Russian Federation, as well as the Republic of Belarus concurrently, Professor Janitha A. Liyanage.
Representatives of Mogilev State A. Kuleshov University and the University of Kelaniya made presentations on the educational and scientific potential of universities and made proposals for cooperation: creating joint educational programs, conducting scientific research, organizing special courses for academic staff and students, holding summer exchange schools, etc. The parties noted that universities have significant similarities, they teach similar disciplines, such as linguistics, natural sciences, economics, etc. The heads of the international relations departments agreed to take the necessary actions to exchange proposals for cooperation and draft Memorandums of Understanding, as well as sign them as soon as possible to implement joint projects.
